Google retires Gemini 3.7 Flash and an older Deep Research agent
Google has pulled gemini-3.7-flash from active use, with every call to that model string now redirected automatically to gemini-3.8-flash. On the agent side, the deep-research-pro-preview-12-2025 variant is on its way out too, with a hard shutdown date of October 23, 2026, pushing developers toward two newer Deep Research options.
